View of Singapore Skyline and Marina Bay Sands from Singapore Flyer
A beautiful Journey!

Landing at Singapore Changi Airport is an EXPERIENCE by itself! The airport gives you a blissful welcome, with fresh flowers and exotic flora that is grown indoors. The architecture and installations are beautiful. One needs an entire day to absorb the richness of the place. The spacious broad roads can by itself be converted to runways, giving an exotic view of the Singapore Flyer and beautiful tall scrapers. All along with our stay in Singapore, we not only see the beautiful tradition of the place, but we also witness the punctuality and discipline too. Although our stay here was for less than a week, we experienced a great variety of places. The entire place has rich greenery and has state-of-the-art technology. The simplified hi-tech lifestyle is very much seen in every household.

SuperTrees and Indoors of Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is a place ONE MUST VISIT! Not only it has a variety of flora, but it also stands alone for its architecture which is at par with technology. The structure regulates the temperature, helping the rich flora and foliage according to its geographical conditions which are planned beautifully. The ramps are logistically built around, in such a way that nothing is missed. The melody of the music is gorgeously choreographed and synchronized with the light and sound in the Supertrees outdoors, which is not to be missed. A small walk of about 10 minutes from Gardens by the Bay leads to one of the largest structures, Marina Bay Sands. Standing tall, this majestic beauty has a restaurant on the 56th floor, which overlooks at the beautiful skyline of Singapore.

Cub Merlion - Mama Merlion - Papa Merlion
Sentosa

When somebody says, Singapore, I always used to imagine the mascot, Merlion. What I really didn't know there was actually a family of Merlion! Yes, There is a cub Merlion which is close to Mama Merlion and a huge papa Merlion on the Sentosa Island. These sculptures are beautiful and have different landscaping around them. Sentosa hosts an array of entertainment. We could see people gathering a few steps away from us, only to realize that the snake charmer had a huge Albino Python, which he allowed to touch and have it around their neck. A lot of care and precautions were taken. It was amazing to see kids trying their luck to lift the heavy python with a gleam and pride on their face! The evening was packed with magical light and sound show on the beach. A small story narrated using a stage that was built on the beach and sea in the background. The gushing of waves, a slight drizzle, and the moonlight sky with innumerable stars gave the entire performance a natural 5D experience. The fireworks by the end of the show were impeccable and beautiful, which gave a grand finale to the day.

I had no idea what I was about to witness…the magnanimity of an amusement park! Call it an amusement park…a theme park….an experience to see your favorite cartoon characters walking around, a brush and selfies with celebrity look-alike…candy stores….Amazing cuisines….Zombies walking around [as it was halloween]…rides….Balloons…ice cream stands…cotton candy….Hollywood pathway…Egyptian statues…Cleopatra and her slaves…the Jurassic park adventures…transformers….minions…Shrek…Far far away castle…Madagascar…water-world arena…phewwwwww…… the list goes on and on! This place shows that you don't have to be young in age ….You need to be young at heart and mind, and to let yourself be what it tells you to do! Go wild, live an imaginative life for one day, and cherish it for the rest of your life, is what I understand from this place.

Universal Studios, Singapore
Not very far from the Universal Studios [or rather the next door] is the S.E.A. Aquarium. It's amazing to see how the two kinds of the different worlds are so closely knit and brought together. While one part of the same land has such huge land entertainment, on the other, it has such diverse marine life!! Hammerhead sharks, octopus, eels, dolphins, seahorse….and I guess I had never seen such a huge Sting Ray, which was almost as big as a 4 seater dining tables [approximately] … The pretty blue shades of water enhance nature’s hues of marine life and teach us, come what may... Keep swimming….Just Keep Swimming!!

Jurong Bird Park
You know you are getting closer to paradise when you hear birds chirping at the entrance! You would want to spend a good amount of time just at the entrance when you get to see such beautiful and colorful creation… The blue and red Macaws and the parakeets. Watching the flamingos just a few yards away is definitely a sight to see. We were just in time for the bird show, and I have no words to describe how each and every actor performed. Sometimes the pretty parakeet might turn out to be cute and a cheeky fellow, and the violent looking vulture might just be as soft and tender in nibbling a piece of meat from its master. The birds are trained so well, you need to have an alert ear and eyes everywhere, as the huge macaws and hornbills can fly from any corner of the arena. It is amazing that you can actually feel the wind from the flapping of their wings when they fly right above your head. And of course watch out the dainty dancers, the flamingos, and pelicans, who come out on the stage as showstoppers and draw the curtains.

A beautiful day, with so much of life around you. You know you are so lucky to be amidst nature with so many different species. And lucky enough to see the gentle giants and pretty little butterflies, which teaches you, humans are yet to be recognized and given importance to! The feeling of a Lemur coming up to you and pat on your shoulder or an orangutang, so mighty and powerful, who would come and sit next to me so gently for a picture. I would call it a trip of a lifetime.
