Calling it my most priced possession and work in my Art Career....(guess it's just the beginning to set my own expectations high!)

After working on my three Mysore Traditional Artwork in a span of three months, I thought I would take a break and practice a wee bit with the techniques and absorb the art a little more... What I did not realise was, the artwork had already chosen me!

Working on ' Shiva Parivara' was extremely challenging, and the final output is very satisfying:). I wanted to do something with different skin tones, and what more can I say, Shiva!

Depicting one of the most Supreme/Powerful person in the entire universe, sitting in the most composed way, with calmness adoring him, yet showing the powerful vibes. Which says, It-Is-What-It-Is. Everytime I worked on the lines of this particular artwork, it reminded me, we are all just a speck. And there is nothing more Paramount than him!

Composing the art work and it's different expressions was challenging - Shiva - as the most powerful person yet being calm as a clam with his family, Parvathi - composed and has the pride to be the wife of one of the most powerful being, where Shiva's complexion is radiating on her.... Ganesha and Subrahmanya - showing off sitting on the laps of their parents! Every stroke shows power. Every hue depicts the persona.

Whilst all the four deities are powerful in their own ways, all said and done, the picture perfect family portrait has to be placed in one of most prominent place. And where else can it go other than my own den!

Until my next canvas with different hues, signing off with few gilded strokes!
