Elephant at Sakrebailu Elephant Camp |
Sakrebailu Elephant Camp houses several captive elephants. These elephants are trained by skilled Mahouts. The camp is located on the banks of the River Tunga. We got an experience to pet the oldest tusker, which was about 30 years old. Apart from big bulls, there are calves that are a treat to see. One can see them play in the water. Elephant feeding is also allowed where they are fed with a nutritious diet.
