View of The Great Himalaya
An experience that was absolutely stunning and memorable!

It was a Journey, which was so much looked forward to! Mesmerizing landscapes and view of the GORGEOUS HIMALAYAS

A 9 to 10 day-long trek, which brings back so many memories even today! The richness and beauty of India, the spectacular views which are so fresh in my mind. An expedition that one has to experience once in a lifetime [ the more, the merrier :)]. The pictures don't do much of a justice [ more so, because it was not digital. I have to make-do with hard-copies ]

Our tents at Basecamp
We had our base camp at ‘Kasol’ where there were tents pitched. Food was comforting and simple, phulka with hot aloo gobi sabzi which was packed for our next pits stops too. We used to head early morning to our next campsite, with backpacks which had basic clothes and would suffice for the next 10 days. With a minimum trek of about 10 - 15 km every day, we never used to feel the distance traveled especially with streams, hillocks, friendly mountain dogs, sheep, and LOVELY people.

Our destination ‘Surpass’ was approximately 18,000 feet above sea level, with a stunning view of Himalaya. Each step was an experience with the first view of snow and chills to frost-bites and blisters by the end of the day. The day ended with a warm fire camp, cool breeze and faint view of The Great Himalayas in the background lit in the moonlight and clear skies.
