Beans and Cabbage Palya



What you need

1 cup Beans [Chopped and Blanched]

1/2 cup cabbage


For Tempering

1 teaspoon Oil

1/2 teaspoon Mustard

1/2 teaspoon Urad Dal

1 strand Curry Leaves

Pinch of Asafoetida


Coriander to Garnish


How to make it

  • Heat oil, add mustard. Once it splutters, add Mustard and Urad Dal.
  • When they get slightly brown, Curry Leaves and asafoetida.
  • Add the blanched beans, cabbage, and salt.
  • Sprinkle a little water, cover, and cook for 5 - 10 minutes till the vegetables get soft.
  • Garnish with coriander.

What you need:
1/2 kg Beans

For Seasoning:
Mustard
Urad Daal
1 onion [finely chopped]
2 -3 green chilli [spice can be adjusted]
Curry Leaves

How to Make it:

  • Cut the beans to the desired size.
  • Head little oil, add the ingredients mentioned under seasoning.
  • Add the cut beans, sprinkle salt, and cover for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Fry the vegetables well.
  • Garnish with coriander.
