What you need:
300 grams/ 1 1/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
100 grams/1/2 cup All purpose Flour
2 teaspoons Sugar/Honey
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Yeast
180ml Warm Water
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder/Freshly Crushed Garlic
1 tablespoon Butter
2 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
1 teaspoon Chilli Flakes
100 grams/1/2 cup All purpose Flour
2 teaspoons Sugar/Honey
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Yeast
180ml Warm Water
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder/Freshly Crushed Garlic
1 tablespoon Butter
2 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
1 teaspoon Chilli Flakes
How to Make it
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients.
- Leave it to proof for 1 hour.
- After the 1st proofing of the dough, smear your hands well with oil and knead the dough well for the next 10 - 15 minutes, using stretch and fold technique.
- Take three equal part and braid the bread. Or make a roll and fit the entire dough into a well greased bread tin.
- Leave it to proof for the second time for 30 minutes.
- Smear butter/milk/oil and sprinkle crushed garlic.
- Bake the Braided Garlic Bread/ Garlic Bread for about 25-30 minutes @ 180 C
- Let it cool completely on a wire rack, before you relish your bread.
