What you need:
Cabbage 1/2
For the Stuffing:
- 1 cup Soya chunks [Cooked well for 4 to 5 minutes in boiling water]
- 2 tablespoon Vegetable cooking oil
- 3 to 4 Crushed garlic [finely chopped]
- 1 Onion [finely chopped]
- 2 tablespoons Chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon Vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Powder/Fresh ground Pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 - 3 tablespoons Coriander [finely chopped]
For the Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable cooking oil
- 2 crushed garlic
- 2 green chilli [slit]
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
How to make Cabbage rolls:
- Gently separate the cabbage leaves and soak well in hot water for 10 minutes to make it soft.
- Pulse the cooked soya chunks to coarse mixture.
- Heat little oil in a pan, add finely chopped Onion and garlic.
- Once the onion is cooked well, add Chilli sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, pepper powder and salt to taste.
- Add the ground soya chunks, and mix well.
- Add Coriander.
- Take one leaf of cooked cabbage, place the soya stuff and roll it well, sealing it on all the side. [Looks like a spring roll]
- Steam all the rolls for 15 minutes in a steamer.
How to make Sauce:
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add crushed garlic and slit green chilli. Saute for a couple of minutes.
- Reduce the flame and add the sesame seeds and soya sauce.
- Add water, salt and let it boil for few minutes.
How to plate up:
- Place the steamed cabbage rolls on a plate.
- Pour the Sauce on the cabbage rolls and relish an appetising and healthy snack.
